Dennis shot this skunk in our back yard. He just left it lay there, waiting to see what critter would come by to get it. We expected a coyote or fox to have it for lunch. To our surprise, in swooped a turkey vulture. He ate on it for awhile and then took the remains with him. Ugly fellow, isn't he? By the way, the wind was blowing in the right direction. Allen and I will be participating in the relay for life in Kasson on July 31st. We will both have luminaries for family members and friends affected by cancer and one for each of our Moms. If you would like to contribute to this cause, a $10 donation for a luminary with a check to the American cancer society would really help this cause. It can be sent to us and we will take care of it. Each $10 will be a luminary so please include the name of the person you would like on the luminary and if it is in honor of or in memory of this special person. Annette is Team captain of our group and also on the County's planning committee, Allen will be walking as a member of our church group. This is the second relay walk for either of us.

Today, heaven got an angel with a ton of experience…Christella’s mother, at 108 years of age, will set some heads spinning!
Grandma Lanie passed away peacefully at 5:15 this morning. The wake will be on Wednesday May 20th at St. Ann's in Brandon. The wake hours will be from 4 - 8 PM with the parish prayer service at 7.PM. The funeral will be on Thursday at 10 AM with Bishop Aquila as the celebrant.

If it makes you feel any better, I had to 'google' it and cheat to find the face. After I did that I asked Ellie Grace (6) if she could see a man in the picture. She took half a nano second and said, "You mean the one right there?" and pointed directly to it. As if THAT didn't make me feel dumb enough, I asked Andrew (2!!!!!) to come over to the screen and before I asked him anything he looked at the screen and said, "Who's the man in the nuts?" Lovely!!
